"Forget everything you think you know about music." Clarence says. He wants us to call him Mr. Smith, but it's not like he's earned any respect yet. "What they have taught you is a cover-up. You are about to learn the true meaning of music."
"How do we know you're not lying, too? What we already know makes sense. Why would we forget it?" Madeleine snorts. For such a dainty girl, she has a large personality.
Clarence shrugs. "You can believe whatever you want to, but I can assure you I'm telling the truth. You really know nothing."
"Nice. Now you're going to call us ignorant." Madeleine shakes her head, a cynical smile adorning her face.
He sighs. "Madeleine, the sooner you get over yourself and start to trust me, the sooner we can start to work together."
Ivan speaks up. "And why," he asks, his voice weary. "Do we need to work together?"
Clarence turns to him, as though slightly startled that Ivan has spoken. "Because, my dear boy," Ivan's scowl grows deeper. "They are corrupt to the point of breaking."
Inside of school she's a shy, weak, innocent nobody.
Outside of school she's a queen.
When she's not at school, say one wrong thing to her, she'll rip your head off. She's a gang leader of the gang Vipers. The Vipers are the deadliest gang in the city.
Her father, the previous owner of the Vipers, passed it down to her. With her being in constant danger, he says she needs to control her temper and lie low so she doesn't get caught, again.
What happens when the "bad boy" in her new school catches her fighting and sees who she really is?
Remember, innocence is just her disguise.
{Ok, so this is my first book I've ever wrote, and it's really not that great, my style has gotten much better since I published this, so my other more recent stories are more... realistic, in my opinion. But I'm just warning you. It's kind of cliché unfortunately. So if you decide to read this, you have been warned. If you don't want to read this, that's okay too, just carry on.}
