"In a world where superheroes are - no that's to weird. Hi, I'm Grant and I'm a superhero and this is my story of how I fell in love with this little bi- OW WHAT WAS THAT FOR" I was pushed to the side by Laura.

"Hi I'm Laura and I'm not a bitch, Grant is." I scowled at her. I may love her but she has no right to call me a little bitch. She continued on only smirking at my face.

"Anyways this is our story, about how I the most bad ass villain ever. CAN I HAVE A DRUMROLL PLEASE" I drum rolled for her. "STORM, FELL IN LOVE WITH MY ARCH NEMESIS"

I snorted "lame, that's sooooo original"

"Look, we're wasting their time okay?"

I sighed. Fine. "Hey you, do you like superheroes, cussing, bad ass fights, and drama! well I suppose you should read our story"

Laura snorted, "so cliche, yo you little turds go read. Don't forget to vote and comment thanks babes"

"bAbe? Who are you calling Babe???" I shrieked

WARNING: CONTAINING AMOUNTS OF SASS PREVIOUSLY UNKNOWN TO MANKIND In the city of NYC--- Ok. Hold up. First of all, New York City. What, are ya gonna assume everyone here knows what NYC is? Anyway, this is about two people. I can almost hear you rolling your eyes. Another cliché teen fiction with a bad boy and a good girl? Nope. This is about superheroes. I can still hear you rolling your eyes. Superheroes. Like in comic books? Like people with super speed and mutant powers? Yes. But this isn't about the fight they have. More about the lives they lead without the masks. But just keep in mind, people who live in the world have all different skin colours. Do not assume my characters are of one unless I state them explicitly. and diversity is welcome here in my novel! Anyhow, back to the story. Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. And if any of you got any of the references in this description, give yourself a pat on the back. That is a beautiful thing. And if you can name all the references in this book, you truly are a gift to mankind. Fangirl out.

"Now you listen to me and you listen good! I don't give a shit in what you think about me because guess what? I could care less! You mean NOTHING to me! Never will! So let's just get this bullshit over with, pretend we love each other to put on a good show, get divorced when this is all over and never have to worry about seeing each other again!" He snaps at me. "That's fine by me because as far as I personally am concerned, I could never love you either! A monster such as yourself doesn't deserve love! Not when you treat people INCLUDING girls the way you do! So go ahead and act all high and above everybody, but let me remind you, you will never be anything more than a lowlife, egotistical, womanizing, selfish, dumb little boy trying to be a man who will die alone! I may not be a thin pornstar or barbie-model type of a girl but just remember, YOU pushed ME away!" I shouted back and stood there for a moment feeling a mix of emotions. From happy & liberated for finally standing up for myself. To hurt & upset that he STILL can't see what all could be! Melody is a curvy not-so-confident young woman who has recently found out that in order to pay off a debt that her dad owed to one of the deadliest Mafia Kings in the U.S, who is now thinking in handing the 'family business' over to his son, Rowan. She is hurt, feels betrayed but also is now faced with another dilemma on top of it, she finds out that Rowan and them were promised her beautiful cousin instead, and so now she is stuck to an egotistical, maliputive, deceiving, arrogant cold hearted killer who she has to pretend she is in love with. Rowan doesn't want a relationship but is forced to go along with this idea in order to become the new Mafia King. His father believes in family. Even when he warms up a little to the marriage idea.......... Can they fall for each other? Or will their fate be different than any other cliche?!? © Copyright 2020 All Rights Reserved

"Stop pretending to be an idiot, idiot." Ouch. It burns. "You're starting to sound like a dear old friend of mine," she adds, her tone implying that her "friend" isn't so much of a "friend" as a mortal enemy who she probably also dragged into an alley on multiple occasions. Because she must be a fan of alley-dragging. Theater major. "I bet that friend was super amazing," I retort anyway. "She'd have to be to put up with you." Oh! Snap! I grin like an idiot at my own joke, realize how uncool that is, and then quickly rearrange my face into a frown. "I'm sorry. I don't quite understand. You're supposed to be a superhero, so why are you threatening a fellow superhero? Isn't that kind of against our code or whatever?" "You don't have a code. Superheroes who follow codes don't drop off information about people's allegedly dead sons at their doorsteps and then run." Well, can't say she doesn't have a point there. -- After being framed for the horrific murder of Birchwood City's most revered superhero's six year-old son, Maya Waterman abandons her super-villain persona and finds herself lost without any sense of identity and purpose. Being hunted by a vengeful super is hard enough, but after her employer fires her and she's evicted from her apartment, Maya begins to become something she had prayed she would never become again- helpless. She needs nothing less than a miracle to save herself, and much to her surprise, she gets just that-- even if it entails her trying her hand at becoming a good guy for once.
