Red City is full of dust, wrecked buildings of different kinds. Abandoned houses, shops, offices galore. The Red War was the name of the war that brought humanity on the brink of extinction. Red City, a booming, bustling city was hit by the first nuke in 1998, located on an island in the Pacific Island. Home to the biggest military bases, and is now a desert of ashes surrounding the city covered in plantation, few humans still survived though. Military Bunkers designed to hold the only important people of the island, but few people, the "smugglers", infiltrated these bases after finding out before the nuke struck and claimed the bunkers for their own. It's now 2016, survivors and bandits walk the city, slaying each other and banding together to fight off the undead.

Surviving was never easy, but with Sid, she had a reason to try. Now he's gone, and Amara is left drowning in solitude, haunted by a hunger she refuses to indulge. Starving herself. Burying her instincts. Fighting against the monster she was made to be: A Vampire. But the world doesn't care if she suffers. The world doesn't care if she's alone. Then, she sees it-the explosion at Terminus, fire licking at the sky. In the chaos, she catches a glimpse of them. Rick Grimes' group. Survivors. Fighters. People. For the first time in years, she follows. Tracks them to Alexandria. She tells herself it's just for supplies. A place to rest. But the truth is, she's desperate. She's tired of surviving. She wants to belong. Now, weeks into life inside the walls, she's struggling to find her place. To them, she's just another survivor. A stranger. But she knows the truth can't stay buried forever. Trust is fragile, and hunger is relentless. And Daryl Dixon? He doesn't trust easily. And there's something about Amara that doesn't sit right with him.
