"Next No. is contestant 9." The emcee announced , the crowd erupted of applause. I shakily , went up to stage . This is my first time to perform on a prom-talent.
The music started , as I took a deep breathe . I took a quick glance at the judges , mostly James. James had his eyes on me . Most contestant sang punk rock or some last years songs ,but it didn't suit tonight .
The first beat came as I sang, then mid-way of my song I couldn't help but sing my heart out for the high note. The audience gasp, I look at James and unexpected he was smiling. I gave him a small smile before I finish the whole song.
I took a bow before I step out of the stage. Hours past it was time for the winners. I stood there looking down , knowing that I''l be on the 1st place , SINCE my older sister force them to be her the championship even though she had the witch's voice.
"And the champion is ...." I was out the whole time when I heard that Isabella was the 1st place. My heart rated when It's only my sister and I. She seem doesn't notice me in my mask. Yes, I wore mask all the time I didn't care what there reaction is.
"Don't expect you're the winner." She rudely comment. But the only thing she didn't notice that James came up to me with the trophy and the price.
"Contestant No. 9" My mouth gape open as I heard my name and James gave me the trophy with a smile and gave me the price . He even lean in and kiss my cheeks. My eyes widen.
"Congratulations. " He whispered.
I look to my right where I saw a fuming Venelope. I look away as everyone clap .I look at James wrist watch when the long hand was almost striking to twelve. I look at Carly , when she had here eyes wide open , I run up to her."Take care of this I have to go." I quickly gave her the trophy and the price. I grab my dress and run out of the auditorium. Screeching sound caught my attention , as I turn around I saw James running after me. Run faster, when his words rang in my head
