A small almost inaudible voice spoke at the back of her mind. The familiar, rich, deep, and velvety voice caressed her mind in a gentle whisper, leaving her lungs breathless and her heart jolted awake in it's presence.
"Goodbye Alex."
She shut her eyes tightly, trying to forget all the memories of him in her head. The way his eyes crinkled when he smiled at her so big it hurt. The deep sound of his laugh whenever she tried to throw him a joke. The coldness in his rich brown orbs the first time she stared into those eyes, drowning in it's depth. The ghostly feel of his lips pressed against her lips it made her heart exploded in warmth. And the feeling of home the second his arms encircle her small frame, pulling her close to him so tight she could almost feel his soothing hands caressed her back in a circular pattern, trying to calm her now skyrocketed nerves.
And as the last spectrum of darkness around her replaced by an orange streak of the dawn, she heavily released a soft whisper, her voice carried along with the first morning breeze in the first day of autumn. "I'm sorry Vernon."
