TRAPPED WITH HER WISH (A Christmas Romance) by ThelmaAkosa

I clenched my lip in frustration. How could this happen? The elevator came to an abrupt halt, and I was stuck with a bunch of strangers. "Daddy, she has such pretty hair," a little voice piped up, and I pretended not to notice that it was directed at me. Of course, it was about me; there was no one else here but us, and this situation was becoming increasingly aggravating. "Yes, sweetheart, she does," her father responded in a deep, seductive tone that sent shivers down my spine. But I didn't care about his voice; I just wanted out of this predicament. "Say 'thank you,'" one of the twins chimed in, snapping me out of my thoughts. They all bore a striking resemblance to their handsome father. I blushed with embarrassment, nervously bit my lip, and discreetly clenched my fist, trying to keep my anger in check "Yeah, say thank you. Daddy says we should always be grateful when someone compliments us," the other identical twin chimed in supportively. I swallowed hard, rolled my eyes, forced a fake smile, and turned toward the little girl nestled in her dad's strong arms. "Thank you," I muttered and then looked at the twins with the same strained smile. "Satisfied?" *** Meet Olivia Harrison - beautiful, wealthy, and elegant, the embodiment of perfection, or so everyone thinks. "Kendal?" Jess said coming over to me. " hey Jess" I said smiling. "I really need to talk to you" she said. "Is everything ok?" I said worried. "Everything's fine" she replied. "Ok, so have you been hearing a voice in your head?" She said. "What? No, that's crazy" I lied. "Kendal really, please don't lie to me" she said in a serious tone. "Fine, yes I have" I admitted. "We'll, so have I," she said. "And there's a thing about my voice" she continued. "He's so sweet, and I-". "I understand" I said, cutting her off. Jess looked up at me in shock. "Cause, I'm in love with the voice in my head too" I said.
