She has lived though torment and death, forever trying to forget the horrors of the past. Lothlorien has become her home, though her heart could never truly belong. Many Galadrim Elves say her name brings bad luck. Sweet Oblivion, a thing Lethia has often contemplated.

The scars on the outside stand as a stark reminder to her past, but no one can tell when the mental scars will heal. She is lost, living out her life in meaningless routine, trying to ignore the call of the blade that could end her troubles in one swift blow. 

Yet, one day, her life is changed when she is sent to Erebor to protect the royal family. They can see through her veil of normality, into the torment she hides from the world. With the dwarves at her side, maybe, just maybe, she can return from the brink...

Remember, (Y/N) is a skin-changer, and based on the 'research' I've done on the topic, skin-changers have lifespans relatively longer than those of average humans, and since no one ever really specified the exacts, I'll do what I wish with them. For the sake of the story, we'll say skin-changer lifespan can vary; some can live to be 500, others may just live to 100. AND for the sake of the fic, we'll say (Y/N) will live to be somewhere near the middle. Don't worry though, she definitely doesn't look old. And for the record, yes I get that Thorin's age in this doesn't really take into account the falling of Erebor and his presence in it, but lets just say that all of those happenings were a little more recent.
