I pushed the cart on the annoyingly white tiled floor that seems to be customary in all grocery stores. All the while thinking about how ridiculously insane the last year had been.

Audrey and Beca Posen lost their parents 11 months ago in a fire that was meant to kill the girls, and with no other living family, the two girls move into a house their family owns in Lincoln City Oregon.
