New York city is a bustling place every day. No down time and no possibility to ever be bored, especially if you are a detective. Claire Henderson is one of the best detectives in New York, and she's fought for that title. Yet as time goes on the cases get weirder and harder to explain. After a fluke accident she loses her partner to a perpetrator that disappears into the night. All it takes after that is her craziest case yet and she's thrown back into a world she once ran from. He can only watch. He can only hope. He's an expert but makes an amateur mistake. He was transfixed. He messed up.
