Nick looked into Judy's eyes hoping to find any sort of sign that she was lying or any shred of hope left that she could make it... but found none.
"Don't talk like that cotton tail." he whispered to his fallen partner, while putting pressure on the gash across her stomach "...I need you...you wouldn't leave me. Right? Carets, Hopps...Judy." not being able to hold back his tears, he started sobbing loudly.

2 years after the Night Howler Case, Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps are put on another case that results in Judy's death. A year later Nick still blames himself for Judy's death, not having a partner and going solo till Chief Bogo forces a new recruit on him.
