The sand was so white it would be mistaken for freshly fallen snow. The water in the valley was crystal blue and the overhang of the cliff was reflected almost perfectly on the surface. It all seems calm and peaceful until I saw the hut, the rotting wood was falling away making gaping holes in the walls. My feet sank into the sand as I took nervous steps toward the hut, my blood pumping in my ears, I was eager to prove there was nothing about this place, it was just a silly rock after all.

Here's a preview: I was awoken to a loud siren. I heard a loud pounding. “Vi?! Vi?!?! Are you there?!?!?!” I could barely hear him but I can tell that he was screaming at the top of his lungs. I got up and ran to the door and opened it. “Noah?! What the fuck is going on?!” I screamed. “I can’t hear you!!” He screamed back. The siren was too loud. I signed it out for him. He signed back that some wolfies broke into the camp. We ran to the kitchen and got some food and water. We stuffed it into our duffle bags. It seemed like it would last us about a month or so. We ran to the Hummer and we were off. I check my watch, it was 10 AM. I slept for a good 4 hours. I checked the rear view mirror to see if anyone was following. It was clear. “Who were they after?” I asked Noah, after 30 minutes of silence. I wasn’t looking at him but looking through the window. “Funny…. They were after you Vi.” He said with surprise in his voice.Complete

I was just laying down on my bed, cuddled up with a book, when I heard a faint creak on the stairs. The sound was muffled seeing as the door was shut, but I heard it nevertheless. My eyes wandered to the door and I tried to be as silent as possible in my attempt to locate another sound. My body was tense, but relaxed when I didn't hear another noise. It's probably just my imagination, I thought. My paranoia was probably just getting the best of me since I was home alone. I heard the stairs creak again however and I heard... Footsteps. I put my book down slowly and got off my bed as quietly as I could. Yes, those were definitely footsteps. I opened my door slowly, trying to be as silent as possible. The flimsy material, now drenched in sweat clung fiercely to her body like a second skin outlining every dip, every edge and every curve...... Her beating heart echoed through the silence in her head but she could still hear the growls of the beast that had been pursuing her relentlessly. I hear the tall figure run behind me feeling a grip on my hair. My white ski hat fell into the ground covered in snow. The man groans pulling my hair towards him making me collapse. "No, stop!" I scream struggling from his grasp, punching and kicking aimlessly. "Shhh." The man whispers into my ear grabbing onto my wrists starting to cuff them. "No!" I scream twisting and turning trying to bite the man's arm. The man doesn't say much. The only thing I hear is his heavy breathing. He starts to shackle my ankles together as I lay a full blown kick into his face making him groan in pain holding onto his nose on top of the mask. "Help me, somebody!" I keep yelling as he kicks me in the stomach and takes out a clothed bag from his coat pocket putting it on my head covering my face. He ties it up from the back tightly making my neck feel pressured. "Please." I whimper. "You don't have to do this." I cry admitting defeat. "Night, night."
