Evangeline Salvatore is Stefan and Damon Salvatore's little sister. The problem is that Evangeline has been told by Katherine Pierce -who rescued and turned her- that both of her brothers remained dead when they were shot by their father, Giuseppe Salvatore. Evangeline knows that Katherine is hiding something from her when she refuses to allow Evangeline to visit her family's graves in Mystic Falls. She gets a chance to leave and she takes it. She never imagined that the secret Katherine was hiding her from was that her brothers were actually alive.
