[A Splatoon Fanfiction]

There have been many stories about the Great Turf War - all about the victories and heroes that played their part. Though, one tale about an Inkling hero who had fought with an Octarian brush is known by only a few.

The first time Hotaru Ayako had ever heard of this Inkling was from an unlikely encounter with an enemy. She has been given two choices, to either head down to Octo Valley with her own Octobrush, or face major consequences. And while she, herself is intrigued by this, she decides to spend her summer exploring the undergrounds to uncover this forgotten legend.

But what she doesn't know is that her answers might be hidden in places she would not expect.

Agent 8 feels unsure and unwelcomed to the city as he is forced to hide his identity as not all inklings accept Octolings into their home. Not only that, but he also has a problem with getting along with Agent 3! But what happens if a mysterious, unknown threat comes toward the surface, threatening to destroy both Inkling and Octoling kind alike? Can the agents work together to save their race? Or would their city population be washed away for good? _________________ This story takes place after the events of Octo Expansion Hi and welcome to my 2nd book! First of all thanks for reading this and I hope you'll stick to the end and find the story entertaining. Secondly, I am a big fan of Splatoon though I am still a bit of a newbie to it. Most likely I could miss out on certain details so don't hesitate to point those out to me. I'm also open to any more suggestions to improve this fanfiction.
