Taylor lives the perfect life. Amazing parents, a loving brother, and a nice house on the water in Malibu. Her family does everything together, including just about any water sport you can think. When things at home get rough, and her brother is no longer there to fall back on, Taylor finds herself in Hawaii, with no plan of what happens next. That is when she meets Chase, a handsome man, with a mysterious secret. She will become just the person to break him out of his reclusive ways. But doing so comes with serious risks, from people who know what Chase is hiding.

Do we truly know those we consider as our family? This is the last year before the beginning of the rest of Cara and Mia lives! Mia Carter still has one more year to spend on Angel Island before leaving, with her best friend, for Montreal to pursue their dream careers. The only problem is that she has to hold on without murdering her nemesis: Austin Coopler. At least, that's what she thought before Cara suddenly vanishes on the evening of the first day of school. No news, no leads, and even stranger, neither the police nor her family seem to care. But Mia is convinced that this disappearance is not a simple runaway case. Caught up in an investigation that goes beyond a mere disappearance, she has no choice but to cooperate with her archenemy and a group of friends who have known each other since childhood. TW - sensitive topics This story contains a lot of references to addiction (alcohol and drugs), and as the chapters progress, they will become more serious. Furthermore, the main character (Mia) suffers from diagnosed chronic anxiety, which I have portrayed to the best of my own experience. All characters, places, and events are fictional (products of my imagination only). Protected story.
