"You lay claim to them as though your toys, but come the day they break, you toss them at others as blame. You are the true trauma in their heads, the sickness they all feel. A disease." (Though not used in the story, I kept this bit as a premise to the setting and tone.) A telling of Dr. Jareth Lavender's meeting with a rebellious teen and the spark that led to the greatest war he'd ever faced. Though I do not feel very proud of the story, it's the first one I'd ever completed, so I thought I'd post it on here in chunks.
