Short Story 4 Lily lived a happy but simple life in her village, despite the war against the magical beasts of world still raging. When the war finally reaches the village, she expected her life to end with her family. She never expected a man to appear and offer her a deal. Tales Of Wonder are short stories that are tied in to a novel I've had in my head for years. They are related to the novel and each other. These stories are mainly to motivate me and to test out different writing styles. Each short story will be written in different styles. They take place in a world where magic and science combine. The first story here, I admit leaves the rules of the world and how everything works a little vague but each short story will add more and eventually the novel will tie up the magic system. Different
Different is the story of a girl who was born half vampire and half werewolf. Her whole life she has been running away from vampires on the hunt for her and running away from her true self. She possesses great power. Power that she sometimes cannot control. She's ruthless, but also afraid of the monster within her. During the story, Thea tries to recruit werewolves to fight against an army of vampires aiming to kill a young witch, last of his kind. The task is not easy. Werewolves despise vampires and Thea is half. As she encounters the wolves, there is bloodshed, happiness, sadness, and friendship's developed. As the journey continues, Thea develops romantic feelings for two wolves she is traveling with. Axl, who keeps Thea sane and always knows what to do. He becomes a need in Thea's life. He is the calm to her storm. Then there's Caleb, who is the storm. Constantly bickering and falling in love with each other all at the same time. Caleb becomes the want in her life. Romance, and fighting for someone other than herself is all new to her. Can she do it? Will she run? Or will she turn into the monster that she is afraid of and harm her new friends? This book consists of many life lessons. Anywhere from friendships, to romantic dilemmas, self-love and growth. Readers can range from, girls, boys, rebels, leaders, misfits, lovers, outcasts and the inbetweeners. This book also describes what a family can be made up of. The reader can connect to the book's definition, whether the reader is an orphan, adopted, has a biological family, or even a reader who expands his or her family through friendships. Our main character, Romero Porcupine, decided that a change of scenery would be a nice decision for himself, after he had experienced a traumatizing event in his life. So, he decided to go and live in a nice, quiet town. It is said to be amazing. The townsfolk are supposedly nice. The scenery is amazing. There does seem to be a little bit of noise at night, but that is normal. Right? I mean, who would not love to live next to the woods in a town that has a "Wolf Problem," whatever that means, AM I RIGHT??? No but seriously, he is a bit concerned for his well-being, and along with trying to keep his past and his job a secret from the town, he is trying to figure out how to process some new... information... he gets about the world he lives in.
