The Kingdom of Ru'aun was rich and plentifully, if you were lucky enough to live in the inner city, Falcon Claw. Outside of those walls was where the poor stayed poor and poverty stayed brutally common. There were 11 closely built towns, but the 3 biggest were O'khasis, Scaleswind, and the Neapolitan villages. That was not where Aphmau was. She was born and raised in a small village far to the east called Phoenix Drop. She was thrown into guard training by her parents at the age of 12 to give her an opportunity in life. After 6 years of intense, tiring combat training and schooling, she'd been chosen to move to the castle as a guard. Of course, she wasn't expecting to be guarding the Crowned Prince of the Falcon Claw Castle. If she had the chance to go back to that day, she'd take that chance and run for the hills while she still could. 19 year old Prince Aaron, wanted absolutely nothing to do with her. He didn't want to be watched over, he didn't want to be guarded, he just wanted to be left alone for once in his life. With his luck, that was impossible. He never wanted the crown. He was intelligent enough to rule and he acknowledged that but he always wished he could just be free of his binding curse. If following the volume of her beating heart was all it took to find her and get her out of the god awful living situation she was in, why didn't he come and get her sooner? Aphmau was a werewolf who drew the short stick in life. Her parents had tragically passed away and from then on, she was stuck living with the current leader of the Pheonix pack, Balto. Nobody could've guessed how he treated her, given the fact that they put out their most unrealistic, happy selfs. If she planned to survive any longer, she'd have to put herself to the test to escape, so that's what she did. With a herd of her own pack members sent to catch her the day after she broke free, she had no choice but to run to another packs territory. Coincidentally enough, she lived just a sprint away from their newly sworn enemy, the Falcon Claw pack. The leader of said infamous Falcon Claw pack was Aaron Lycan. Though he was originally only made the Alpha of the pack due to his curse, he was a kind and strong leader who proved his worth. His curse could turn a human to a werewolf or kill them with a single glimpse of his crimson eyes. Of course, that wasn't really the most annoying part of being the Ultima. The annoying part was the constant beating of his soulmates heartbeat that he could hear in his ears. All. the. Time. And he desperately wanted to meet them.
