For a long time, I had no one; I lost my father to another woman, and my mother slipped through my fingers. When she died giving birth to my little brother, I promised myself, I promised Nate, I promised Mumma I'd be a better person. I'd take care of him through anything. And I was determined to do it on my own. But expenses mounted and I needed help. I contacted my estranged grandmother and under her roof, I rediscovered love. Love for Ash Taylors. A handsome, brilliant, actor. But with this love, came grave consequences that threatened to tear us both to pieces. He held secrets that had the power to burn through the trust I pieced back together. The burning passion and the forbidden love sparked something between us that even I couldn't comprehend. This is our story. Just Part 1. (Currently being edited)

A whole year; they'd been beyond my reach for an entire year and the days just seemed to be getting longer and harder to handle. I visited them every day and watched over them as they rested but how much longer can I continue to endure this? For so many months they were all that I'd had and now I felt like my whole universe had imploded. My true family; the one I'd chosen, my boys. They weren't down the street anymore. I couldn't send them a message and ask them to come and visit. Slowly, as the days turned to weeks and then months, my pain had numbed along with every other emotion and I could function on some level but I hadn't smiled since the day that Dr Roberts had knocked on Nathan's door and informed me that somehow Volto had won.
