Kabira Davis has always been sure which side of the law she fought for. She had dreamed of becoming a cop since she was a little girl and now, that dream is her reality. Though, once she meets the Stevens family, this dream of hers starts to follow the lines of a nightmare much more closely.

When she killed Collins Stevens, head of a Mafia Family, she knew she was putting herself in danger. His younger brother, James Stevens, was ruthless and would do everything in his power to extract vengeance from his brothers killer.

Karbira never thought that the job that she loved would put her at risk not only physically, but in emotionally and morally. James Stevens throws everything in her life into turmoil, endangers her loved ones and twists her lifelong beliefs around until she's not sure whats real anymore.

In the end, Kabira's heart and life are so turned upside down, she's not even sure which side of the battle of good and evil she plays for anymore.
