Turf wars, fighting aliens, trying to become the freshest squid on the block; it's all in a day's work for Zaki. This show is based on the hit Nintendo game of the same name. Our protagonist: a spunky, clever, and determined Inkling named Zaki who runs away from home and goes to Inkopolis, hotspot of the biggest new sport: ink battles! She tries to find her niche as a battler and makes a few friends along the way, like the kind but fussy Mikado, an introspective sharpshooter named Keiso, and Teruo, a self-proclaimed roller gal with a sparkling personality, but she also finds a few rivals... Oh, and she also gets roped into becoming Agent 3 of the Squidbeak Splatoon, on a mission to rescue the Zapfish from the Octarians, who have returned after the Great Turf War of 100 years ago. So she's living the dream, but she's also living a bizarre double life. One she'll have to keep from her friends. They wouldn't want her doing shady stuff, right? It's been nine months since escaping the Deepsea Metro, defeating tar-tar, and saving Inkoplois things seemed to have finally calmed down for the team. Agent 8 now free is now living his new life on the surface, working, going on missions, and his favorite thing getting to spend time with 3. 3 is enjoying spending time with 8, but after going on a research mission in the Deepsea Metro she notices 8 acting strange. She found him mumbling to himself, he's having nightmares, being more claggy to 3 than normal, and swears that she caught a flash of teal in his eye. It couldn't be that bad... till 8 goes missing. The team is on the case to find him but sometime into the search Inklings sharing some of 3's similarities are getting attacked and 3's apartment gets ransacked. It's clear 8 is after 3 and if he finds her, he's not letting her go.
