Azalea Abel and Magnolia Garfield were anything but ordinary. Lea is a beautiful, ambitious musician who could hit any note on the scale. Maggie is a strikingly sexy, outgoing radio DJ/contemporary dancer who could out-sass anyone on any day. From the day they met, these two girls were inseparable and would stand until the ends of the earth for the other. But when they meet the IM5 boys one summer night, their close bond would be put to the test.

Secrets the girls have been hiding from their family and each other start to come out as they lose themselves in their newfound friendship with the boys. With her world seemingly turned upside down and her protective older brother, Nathan Abel, acting suspiciously, Lea starts to lose herself in depression when she is abandoned again by the people close to her, leaving her to figure out her tricky situation with Cole Pendery all on her own. Maggie's own anxiety problem comes to light when she deals with family hardship and the complicated connection she unknowingly starts with Dalton Rapattoni, all while trying to hide the relationship with a boy she promised she wouldn't be with.

These two girls formed a friendship years ago based on trust, to always be there for each other and to tell each other anything and everything, but will that promise be kept? Do these two best friends know themselves as well as they thought?
