If you think about it, but not too much, there's this illusion of people being more than people, that we are more than we really are. It's not just about belief that we are more than we let ourselves believe, but also what we let other believe. I think, I'm the opposite. But not me. I've always known I was not enough, but the difference is I don't care. People can belittle me as much as they want but at the end of the day, I'm still the lion on top the pride rock, and everyone will hear my roar. I'm still the eagle flying these depths and height. They'll watch me my finest soar. They'll know who I was and see me like they've never seen before.

I'm Jason Velasco. I was a kid. A teenager. Then I grew up.

This is my story.

Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd) Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
