Cinder. Everything about her. It just bothered Valerie a lot. She knew she was her mother, but she never remembered knowing her when she was a child. Was she even my mother? Valerie thought in her head. She sighed. I guess it doesn't matter anymore because I'm her daughter now. She thought to herself. "Valerie" Cinder whispered as she walked up to her. "Oh, mom hey!" Cinder stared at her. "What's up?" Valerie replied softly. "Are you ready for the dance tonight?" Valerie looked at her strangely. "Wait..?" Valerie looked scared. "that's tonight!" Cinder looked at get angry. "Come on let me do your hair" Valerie sat down. Cinder put her hair in a ponytail. "Where's dad?" Oh he's not here at the moment" Valerie sighed and walked outside. She walked into the woods looking for Mercury's house.
As she finally arrived at his house she gently knocked on the door. Mercury opened it. He looked very ready for this. "Hey Valerie!" Mercury hugged her. They both started to walk toward the club. When they arrived Neo was standing next to the door. "Mercury!" She shouted "Over here!" Mercury walked toward Neo. She hugged him tightly. "It's good to see you!" Mercury looked confused. "Where have you been?" Mercury whispered to her. "Oh, at my parents house" Mercury smiled. Valerie walked inside and he followed. Neo just wanted to punch that bitch, Valerie.
Neo walked inside. "Hey Valerie, wait!" Valerie turned around and looked at Neo. "What?" Neo hesitated to speak. "Can I talk to you in private?" "Sure!" Neo and Valerie walked into a room. "What did you want to talk about" Neo looked at her the smile on her face turned mad. "Mercury is mine!" Neo stabbed Valerie in her stomach. Valerie screamed in pain. Goodnight. Neo whispered and stood up. Valerie started to cry. You weak little bitch can't handle it. Haha! How stupid of you! Valerie tried to talk but nothing came out.
Goodbye! Neo whispered and waved. She walked out. Neo ran into the bathroom to wash the blood off.

PROLOGUE A small boy lies curled up in his bed, trying to hide himself. The screams and shouts of his parents echoed throughout the empty, cold house. A small toddler girl, snuggled in his arms, fusses in her sleep. A loud crash, followed by a cry of pain, makes the boy flinch and tear up. He pulls the baby girl close and covers his ears. 'Dad is hurting mom again' The boy cries softly, so as not to be heard, weeping at the unfairness of the world. Hours later, his bedroom door opens, and a soft hand touches his cheek. "Ian, my baby boy, I've got to go for a while, ok?" A woman's voice calls softly. The boy sits up, wiping his tears. "How long will you be gone?" The boy sniffles. "Mom is going to live with Uncle Sam for a while, just so she can make dad's company bigger. Make sure you take good care of Naomi. Don't forget to clean up after yourself, and get good grades in school." The boy's mother ruffles his hair and kisses him on the cheek. "I love you buddy. I'll be back in a few years. I know that sounds like a long time but, I'll be back before you know it. I just have to make dad happy." The boy nods, refusing to cry. 'I have to protect Naomi.
