In the society, a married couple is required to have two kids to make a normal population. If the parents pass away, the child or children are taken to the government and killed because they can't stay with anyone else. When Adelyn finds out her parents died in a car crash, she knows she and Corry have to run. Adelyn is not eighteen yet and therefore isn't old enough to take care of Corry. Doesn't matter considering Corry is also dead. Can Adelyn run from the government and survive at the same time?
