August McKenzie is a vampire hunter. So was his mom, and her parents, and their parents before them. It's kind of a family business.
Being homeschooled (in between vampire hunting training) his whole life, August isn't exactly experienced in the school area.
But that all changes when he's sent to Middleton High for 10th grade.
Expecting a quiet semester at least, August tries to fit in with other students, ditching the stakes for schoolbooks and leaving his vampire hunter upbringing behind him.
When he meets notorious troublemaker Lindsey Allsaints, strange things start happening around him and August wonders if it's time to break out the silver weapons again.

Werewolves and Vampires is the story of, you guessed it, werewolves and vampires. Lila Silver had been a pretty normal girl until her sixteenth birthday and her dad decided to move her and her step-sister, leaving her old friends, old school and old life as a human behind.
