The night was an inky cloak that hid evildoers as they committed acts unspeakable, kept them protected so that they could ruin families and cause chaos. Many feared the time when the sun would go down and those people would come out.
Yet she was fascinated. Fascinated by what possessed people to do such things, fascinated by the stars thousands of years away from where she was, fascinated by anything and everything she didn't already have an answer for. She didn't know a lot about where she came from, but thanks to him, she was figuring it out.
This just wasn't the answer she wanted.
