They stood hand in hand in front of everyone, ready to take the first step into the rest of their lives. As she gazed into his eyes ready to say her vows, Zoe reminisced about how they had met and couldn't believe how far they had come. She had met Nathan six years ago when she transferred to Rydall College. Rydall College was a small and close-knit college where everyone knew each other, so when Zoe started there after the Easter break, she was the hot topic around school, with everyone trying to suss her out and see which group of friends she would end up with. She was very likeable so it didn't take long for her to fit right in and for everyone to feel like she had always been there. She remembered the day that she had met Nathan. It was her third day at Rydall and on her first day, Mr Barnes, the maths teacher, had given her all the homework from the last week before the Easter break because he said she needed to catch up and prepare for the upcoming exams. None of the other teachers had done this and she was beginning to understand why everyone hated Mr Barnes the most out of all the teachers. She decided she wanted to make a good impression anyway, so she was going to use her lunch break for the rest of the week to do all the work. She had heard of a quiet spot at the top of Regent Building that was perfect for studying, so she made her way up there. She was carrying a ton of books in her arms and was exhausted by the time she had made it all the way up the four flights of stairs. She walked along the corridor and reached the front of the glass double doors to the study hall. She struggled for a minute to get the door open, with her hands full of books and just as she managed to get it open, she lost her footing and dropped the books on the floor with a very audible bang. All the students in the room looked up from their books and stared at her.
