For Luke, everyday is a normal day, get up, hear about another place the government destroyed, and go back to bed. The government has become crazy, and bombs a new city everyday.
When Luke is walking through the woods, he happens to stumble across an old cabin, and inside he finds an old friend, Michael Clifford, and his younger sister, Autumn Clifford, and neither of them like it there. They are the son and daughter of the leader of the government, Deacon Clifford.
After Luke takes the two back to his house, he soon is told that Deacon found out, and has no choice but to run.
As they are being hunted by the government, Luke, Autumn, Michael, Calum, Ashton, Felicity, Neveah, and Bella, set out on a journey to free everyone from the government, and maybe destroy them once and for all.
When Luke and Autumn become a "thing,"he only then fully realizes that he will go on and on to save 'the gang.'
