His deep grey eyes soften slightly in the sunlight. "Someone... colder too." "So you want someone as bad as Professor Abel?" My friend jokes poking my side with her fingers. I snap my head back to her, surprised at her question. To brush off the embarrassment I shrug my shoulders, faking a smile but my heart is pounding furiously. "Haha, very funny." It's as if our conversation has been leaked when my eyes rest back on the tall individual. The grey swirls are staring right back at me, his colleague oblivious of his wandering eyes. I tried my hardest to keep my breathing under control to seem confident and fearless, but in reality, I was shitting my pants and squealing like a scared little girl on the inside. To say I was terrified was a drastic understatement. I was petrified, shaking with fear, but they were not going to know that. "Who are you?!" I demanded. If I was going to die, it would be with the name of my kidnapper. A voice boomed closely to me, "Well, if I told you that, this wouldn't be any fun." **************** Skylar James, a 24 year old girl, is kidnapped by a very well known gang who has a vendetta against her family. In an attempt to find light in her situation, she makes friends with one of the members. Logan Grant was forced into the gang at the young age of 16. He was abused until he became emotionless and ruthless, so that one day, he could rule the gang. Everything was going smoothly until Skylar is brought in. With a blindfold wrapped around her head, he instantly feels bad for her, though he cannot show it. Afraid of getting caught, he shows no emotion while others are around. Though, behind closed doors is a whole other story.

The financial aid department was supposed to take care of it before the semester began, but they didn't, and now, they have nowhere to go. Arden's family is all the way back home in Michigan, and she's currently in New York City with Ava being the only person she knows. Fortunately, her best friend's dad, Hugh Jackman, offers them a place to stay with him until their housing situation gets sorted out. The thing is Arden has never met Hugh before, and now she has to share an apartment with him. She thinks it'll be fine. It'll be like living with her own parents, except it's not like that at all. Because Hugh is a very single, very attractive older man. He has only improved with age. Like a vintage that gets better with time. It doesn't help that he's tall and goofy - exactly Arden's type. But, Hugh is strictly off limits. He is her best friend's dad. He's also a whole 20 years older than her. The thing is Arden can only deny her attraction to him for so long, because the longer she lives with him, the harder it is to stay away, especially when those feelings are mutual.
