Alli, the main character, is terrified of thunder. She sees a storm coming and rushes home, barely making it inside her apartment building before the rain and thunder come pummeling down. On her way to get inside her apartment, she bumps into her neighbor, Carter, who is also her closet friend. He stays with her throughout the storm and keeps her calm.
