The son of Satan is feared more than the king himself. Joel, the Prince of Darkness, is the Grim Reaper. His real name is Death, but who would want to be called that their whole life? He changed his name to Joel to be somewhat normal. Even though his life is anything but normal. This young prince walks among people, collecting souls of the dead. He saves children by making a contract with them. This contract is forever binding, that person belongs to him until a deed is performed. For example, a little girl named Maddie was very sick and slowly, her soul was turning red. Joel appeared before her, with his scythe in hand ready to send her off. Maddie knew that she was dieing and that there was nothing she could do. She welcome the idea with open arms and said her goodbyes, but when he spoke of the contract, she agreed willingly. Death. A terrifying concept. But what about when YOU are Death? Is it still so scary of a thing, or does it mellow out now that you are the one cursed to replace the old Death. You had been around in the Dark Ages, replacing the old Death, and working alongside the Boogeyman, but you never liked Pitch -his more recent name-. You never killed for fun, but for the dead ones. Pitch saw it as striking down anyone you wanted, which you could, but wouldn't. You never spoke a single word to Pitch, so he grew to believe you were a mute Death.
