What happens when you realise the man who owns your heart no longer treasures it? The man you fell in love with no longer exists? Do you stay? Or do you go? This is the story of Emily and Grant Emily Slowly losing Grant hurt more than knowing the truth. Or so I thought. Seeing him with her broke more than my heart. It broke us. And I'm not sure we can be put back together again. Not sure I want him to have any more of my tomorrows. Grant Emily is my world. My safe place. The only person who ever truly believed in me. But this new job opened my eyes to a whole new world. One I desperately want to be a part of. I didn't realise losing myself in this new world would lose me my old one. Losing her home, marriage, and son after being the target of jealous, envious, and greed driven individuals. Layla thought she would crumble and die, but then decided that she was going to get revenge. While seeking revenge, she has to lean on the same people who didn't value her before. They were there, but only when it was a benefit to them. She never mattered to anyone outside of her family until it was too late. "The way to right wrongs is to turn the light of truth upon them." Ida B. Wells This time they all come together and reflect on what they did wrong and how they failed returning the love she gave to them. Everyone is determined to right their wrongs and help her to find resolution to move forward with her life. She's presented with an opportunity to leave the past behind. Does she take it? Does she reinvent herself? Will she forgive? Will it be enough or is it too late?

From life to death, from love to heartbreak, from making new friends to losing your best, with every story there lies a new beginning- or ending. This is a collection of short stories and poems that I have written. Each story is from my imagination, and if based off of a character, person, or another piece of work it will be noted. Enjoy!

Layla lost her mother at a young age and was abused by her alcoholic father. Her best friend, Jasmine knew about this and so Layla spent majority of her time with Ashley and her family, basically growing up with them. After highschool, Layla moved away to study. She decided to visit Jasmine and her family during summer break. One thing she didn't expect was to see her attractive brother, and her childhood crush, staying there too. Jasmine always knew about Layla's crush on her brother, Asher. What Layla doesn't know is that her feelings aren't one sided. Everyone can see their chemistry and the attraction between them. Everyone except the two themselves. If only one of them could risk their friendship for something even better. But it won't be easy for these two to find their happy ending. **Contains mentions of alcohol, physical/verbal abuse and blood**

Completed✓ 'The price for love is pain,' how ironic of life isn't it. Loneliness hurts and so does loving. Loving shatters you heart and leaves you bleeding. So here's a thing with broken hearts, they never fit quiet like they did before. Like they say, you can glue a plate together but it will never look the same again. But what do you do when you've been broken and shattered not just your heart but your soul too. Where do you go from there. And let me let you, one of the hardest decision about love is deciding to let go or try, just one last time. I'll be okay, that's what he wanted to hear.
