He tries to enlist the aid of a colleague to help him create the very virus he wants to eradicate, but she refuses on ethical grounds. Witnessing the horrific transformation of an infected patient forces her to reconsider, but before they can start working on a vaccine, their virus samples are stolen. As they criss-cross the country on a hunt for a cure, the paths of the two scientists cross those of a shadow organization on a secret mission, and a loose-knit network of zombie prepper groups whose loyalties are unclear. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? When officers arrived they shot the 'zombie' but he ignored it, almost as if he didn't know he had been shot. He got shot four times before he actually died. Many people blame the attack on drugs, like "bath-salts", but if only they knew the truth. They couldn't find bath-salts in the man's system. He tested positive for LQP-79. The Miami officials deny any existence of this virus, but they don't realize that keeping this dirty secret is going to bite them later. LQP-79 seems to have been forgotten, until ten years later. Years later, people attack Jerusalem, and declare war against the Jews. This makes God extremely angry. When LQP-79 resurfaces in 2022, ten years later, as a result of God's wrath, people scramble to find a cure, knowing that this virus is extremely capable of becoming airborne. It is then, that people realize that this virus is a lot more than they can handle.
