I left years ago, four to be exact. I had no good reason, other than I did not want to be a father at 17. Who would? I threw in the last of my bags into the back of my hummer. Letting out a breathe, it began to hit me. I was about to return to Lilac, back to Carly Roman, back to my disappointed family, back to the child I left behind.
