He looked at her with love in his eyes. She seemed to be engrossed in her phone, completely unaware of her surroundings. Timing it perfectly, he walked right into her. Looking up, butterflies fluttered in her stomach at the sight of him. Figuring it was the right time, wait scratch that, perfect time, he leaned in and kissed her lips. Boom. Instantly in love.

Now wouldn't we wish that is what actually happens.

Well that just isn't the truth.

To Adaline Wood it was evident that was not how love worked. She knew love never happened like that. To her, love is a roller coaster that travels down. She could see how in love her friends were with every cute boy in high school. None of them hesitant to throw themselves at whatever walks and is hot.
