Maxine "Max" Doris Winters was not only an agent, but she was one of the best during her time. Not to mention she could save Bucky Barnes' and Steve Rogers' asses any day of the week. The three of them had been best friends since they could remember and even before then. She had always cleaned up after them, making sure that when they did something stupid, she was right there with them.
That never changed.
Max joined the war, Bucky was drafted, and Steve tried to join. Immediately accepted, she felt regret upon leaving Steve behind but she knew he'd be joining later. After all, they were just a few stubborn kids joining the army straight outta Brooklyn.
