Phoenix, an orphan girl with a mind as bright as a flame, doesn't remember a thing about who or where she came from. She doesn't remember how much she was loved, how much her family still wanted her. All she knows is the Emily, sneering caretaker, Madame Le'Blonk, the stuffy orphanage owner, and the grey walls, the grey ceiling, the grey floors. She has lost all hope of becoming anything more than a girl with a notebook and some knowledge as to how gears work. Join us in a tale of steampunk zombies, old London charm, and a little inventor who learns how to feel a different kind of love.

The Phoenix Girl (Editing)

14 parts Complete Mature

"Have I ever told you the story of The Phoenix Girl?" My Grandfather asked. "No, you have not," I said. My Grandfather was like any other old man, but his mind was far from ordinary. All grandfathers are alike, each one tells you stories about wars or the good old days. But not my Grandfather. He was a storyteller, but his stories were always different. He would just come up with the stories, and they would be so enrapturing to me. It hooked me from the beginning until the moment I had to leave. But then one day, he told me a story that would change everything for me and my Father. This story called the Phoenix Girl. It's a story of a girl who goes through hardships and struggles in her everyday life. They punish her for things she has no control over, but then she faces it all. She is reborn from the ashes of the flames that had consumed her. She is stronger. But what if this isn't just some story that my grandpa came up with? What if something connected her to my family? What will happen now that the truth is out there? Why was this story so important? What will change? Who is this Phoenix Girl? [Please note that this story is complimented but is under heavy editing at the moment]
