Rachel is 3 years old Shelby always had full custdy of Rachel and Rachel likes it that way. Even though Shelby is a single mother because Leroy Berry left her when she was pregnant with Rachel. Shelby is an English Teacher at Lima Elementary school so she works mornings and gets to spend the nights at home with Rachel which she likes and so does Rachel since she doesnt have a dad she is really close to her mom and she is made fun of when she goes to the park with her mom and when she is playing in her front yard under her mothers watch and it makes Shelby really mad when her daughter gets bullied by kids because it makes Rachel very very upset. What happens one night when Rachel wakes up not feeling well for the first timevwith a fever along with the flu (which she had before) how will Shelby handle the fever for the very first time time find out when you read the story. This story takes place during the summer time.
