Carmen Renaea Zean, a half blind fox shifter, stumbles into a small town. Population: 200 Werewolves and, give or take a few, 20 fox shifters (plus a few humans). At the age of 14, Carmen was kicked out of her clan for her born weakness.... Her blind left eye. Living on her own and going to school, she has trouble as it is. being forced to move to a new town and claiming a small territory after 3 years just makes things worse. Because now she is 17 and the age to find her mate. ~~~ A menacing growl rang through the trees and pounded in my ears. I cowered back silent for a moment before letting out a loud hiss and extending my arm to reach up and quickly slash my needle like claws through the face of the giant wolf towering over me. In an instant I make a quick get away down a badger hole that I pray is empty. The wolfs paws slash and tear up the earth at the entrance of the burrow, Im thanking the goddess that the wolf was to large to follow me in. Its snout and piercing green eyes appear in the entrance. "This isn't over cat" It snarled baring its fangs threateningly before running off into the dark. Good first day in town... I curled up, my dark red fur making me blend in with the leaves that had fallen in the burrow. To exhausted from the chase to move I drifted off into a light sleep. This is going to be a long night.

In The Eyes Of Fate Series (Book One) "Don't even think about it." I stood frozen in place as he said those words from behind me, which sent shivers down my spine. The rain started running down my face as I started thinking of a way out of here. My body trembled in fear knowing that he could easily hurt me. I'm not strong against someone like him Thoughts raced through my mind as I tried to think of a way to get away from him. But there was nothing but endless trees around me. I blinked away the water running into my eyes due to the rain. My thoughts were disturbed when he suddenly spun me around to face him, his face just inches away from mine. "P-Please don't hurt m-me." I stuttered out. I tried to sound brave and not let my fear show, but my mouth betrayed me. His golden red eyes flickered with a hint of pain for a moment then back to a cold stare, "I'd never hurt you, never put you in harm's way and I'm never letting him take you from me, you're mine." He said in a deep low voice, almost a growl, and his eyes seemed to have gotten darker. 'What the hell is that supposed to mean?!' I tried taking a step back but his grip on my arm tightened. It hurt. "L-let me go, you, you're hurting me!" I looked up at him scared, his eyes were now completely dark, and the next thing I noticed were pointed teeth poking out from his lips. I screamed and pushed at him but he didn't budge. I then raised my knee and kneed him between the legs with all my force, and he dropped like a rock, holding his groin. Run. I took my chance. And ran. ~~~ Nora Brown, a normal adult, living a normal life. Moving away from home to start fresh and meet new people. Just going where life takes her.
