Mariana is not very superstitious to say at the least. But her friend Lindsay is so stuck up about it, and sometimes she gets annoyed. She gets REALLY annoyed when she says the characters of her Wii game Super Smash Bros. Brawl have "come to life" in the game. Two of their friends, Riley, a rebel who is a girl gamer, and Justin, a newly bisexual boy who loves music and also likes video games, is also annoyed. Their a gamer gang, and don't believe in Lindsay with her theory. So Mariana, Riley, and Justin are invited to Lindsay's home for a game to prove it's legit. And once in a long time, Lindsay was right.
In this story, these 13-year-olds have figure out how to get out of the game. Literally, their trapped INSIDE the game. They worry that they might not get out, but with the help of the characters of Brawl, they learn why they're here, and how to beat the virus. The humor, the drama, the romance, who wouldn't love this story?
