Kinsley Tate grew up and spent her childhood in a bakery in Alabama. When her parents receive an offer to run a famous bakery in Maine, seventeen-year old Kinsley and her younger sister Paisley are forced to move their lives across the country. The drastic move is anything but easy, especially when total disaster and embarrassment strike on the first day. But, despite the dozens of mortifying catastrophes that proceed to take place, Kinsley manages to be happy in Maine - thanks to a wedding cake, some good luck, and falling in love with a boy from Maine.
