Rose Waters was changed the day she visited the Verisian Temple. She came back reserved, quiet. She would lash out and cry herself to sleep after exhausting meltdowns. She was broken.
Unless she is hidden behind a mask.
Verity (who is Rose in a different sense) was happy with life, she saved people, she was good. People loved her and celebrated her.
They called her verity because it meant truth, and Verity could tell the truth, at least she could read minds.
But how could that help a broken girl when no one knows it's her.

It's hard to be surprised by such news when it is the only memory you possess. Superpowers are just a fact of life at that point. The superpowers news turned out to be quite original for the rest of the world, which was entirely unaware someone like her existed at all. There is, however, an underground world of others like her, a criminal empire working toward something she had been trying to stop. But with no knowledge of what the villainous plan was, who these criminals were, or how to properly use her powers, things seem grim. She knows she is the only one who can stop them, and the only backup she has is a man who claims to have been her friend from before the accident. The Noble Academy has a group of people that are born with special abilities besides the other humans. They are called Elementals. These people are at the top of the school. So far, the known abilities are fire, water, earth and air. These people wear red cloaks and mask to protect their identities. What happens when there is a person that has all the abilities and more? Meet Winter Valentine. She knows what she is and she knows it must be kept as a secret. The elders of the Academy keep a close eye on her. Long ago a group of superheroes and villains worked together to prevent an invasion. But they managed to kill more people than they saved. The mayor who has been running the NSA was beginning to take drastic measures. Sending many supers off to another island. Stealing their powers. Forcing others to betray their own kind.
