Rose Waters was changed the day she visited the Verisian Temple. She came back reserved, quiet. She would lash out and cry herself to sleep after exhausting meltdowns. She was broken. Unless she is hidden behind a mask. Verity (who is Rose in a different sense) was happy with life, she saved people, she was good. People loved her and celebrated her. They called her verity because it meant truth, and Verity could tell the truth, at least she could read minds. But how could that help a broken girl when no one knows it's her. *** This is my contest application for @SciKick 's 'Superheroes VS. (Super) Villains' contest. Hope it isn't as horrible as I think it is! (200 word limits are HARD)

For the sake of her life, Ember does whatever she can to keep a low profile everywhere she goes, even in school. But, when four of the most powerful High-tier vampires in the world set their eyes on her, she is thrown into a whirlwind of chaos, unable to remain hidden in the shadows. Now, only one question remains. Will those High-tiers protect her, or will they ruin her? Maybe it will be a little bit of both. Who knows? DISCLAIMER: The original title of this story was Twisted Blood which had previously been published to the app, Episode. If, by some chance, any of my readers from Episode have come across this story, then I'd like to just thank you for giving both versions a try. :)
