I was running, I wasn't running from someone or some animals, but some awful creature. I could always see them and hear their vulgar comments. Most of their faces were beautiful, but that's what they want humans to see.
Whenever they are around I have two rules that if I don't follow them, they could discover that I can actually see them.
Do not acknowledge their presence
Never let your guard down
They are fearies. Cunning creatures that could snap someone's neck with just a couple of thoughts. Fearies are immortal creatures that cover their true selves with glamours. The fearies choose glamours that make themselves inhumanly beautiful, but that's just their true selves peeking through.
I've spent all of my life running yet staying in the same spot. Ever since I could remember, I could see them. With the gift of seeing fearies, I can also see humans' emotions swirling around them, which are their auras.
That's how I can tell the fearies apart from the humans, the fearies simply do not have auras. Their auras completely invisible to my eyes and they are completely invisible to the human eye unless they want to be seen.
And now I have to survive with them watching my everymove.

In the beginning, there was death. The darkness flows from hues of purple and orange, the moon rising to kiss the sun's rays one last time as the darkest cloud of night I've ever seen falls over our tiny haven. I catch Will's face from the side of my vision and my heart tightens slightly. The tick of his jaw wouldn't be noticeable for anyone but me. His best friend, his lifeline. A solemn tear forms in my eye as he wipes his face, another tear falling for the family he lost. I love him. Utterly and desperately so, but, there's nothing I can do about that. The ultimate forbidden fruit, if you will. I reach to comfort him and he doesn't respond. I open my mouth to speak and he looks my way, but the gleam in his dark brown eyes hits the moonlight just right and I fall. My voice escapes my throat and I can't do it. I've tried for years to tell him. 10 years, actually. All this time, I hopelessly remained devoted to a ghost who had given the best of himself to a fiery red-head with a sassy personality and the body of a supermodel. For 10 years, I held to the desperate thought that maybe, just maybe, he'd be someone I could count on. Instead, I watched him marry my best friend, smiled as they welcomed their son. Stood, holding that beautiful boy as his mother was in the first round of executions after the beginning of the Revelation. Helped heal Will's wounds in the aftermath. Cried, clutching the tear-stained shirt of my best friend as his son took his last staggering breath in that first harsh winter. The guilt of my emotions crawl through me. My heart twisting in regret, guilt, desperation, and grief. I loved my best friend. She was so much more than that; she was my family. In this dystopian quick read, join a group of people desperate to recapture their freedom and end a tyrant's reign.
Bewitching The Malicious Vampire King by S0NDREENJ

Book 4 of The Awakening Series The malicious vampire king. My Paramour. Over a century ago, I had a vision of him sleeping with my sister during the same exact day that we met and that alone blew every opportunity which we would have ever had. Yet, even when the day came. I was crushed. There was no way I could have prepared myself. You see, visions, while seemingly set in stone, are not immutable truths; they are glimpses of potential outcomes shaped by the choices we make. They serve as warnings or guides, highlighting the paths we might take but are subject to the influence of free will. I hoped against hope that he would defy the vision and choose a path different from the one foretold. I prayed fervently to my creator that he would see beyond the illusions of fate and recognize the bond we could share. Yet, when our eyes finally met, the cold indifference in his gaze shattered my hopes, while my sister's wicked smile only deepened the betrayal. Years later, the fool decides to host a bullshit love game show to make fun of his journey to find his beloved as if he didn't once look right past me. At this point, he was practically begging for a vindictive curse, and I was more than willing to oblige, ready to remind him that fate was not a game to be trifled with and that the consequences of his folly would be dire and that's exactly what I came to do. So, imagine my surprise when I arrived in his kingdom to curse the rest of his useless existence for this fool to turn around and declare that I'm his beloved on national television in front of the entire world, proclaiming that it's fate. Ha! I guess it is. He's fatally fucked.
Under The Bed by LTHelms
33 parts Complete Mature
As a child you always fear the monster under your bed or in your closet. Maybe you watched a scary movie or were told a horror story to make you believe something was under there. You jump onto your bed and jerk your limbs away from the edge or always shut your closet door. Then you hide under the covers in hopes that they don't get to you. As you grow older you realize the invisible monster under your bed is just that, invisible. Its not that they don't exist, it's just that you don't see them. You write off the bumps in the night as the wind or shifting floorboards but they're lies. Little white lies you tell yourself so you can sleep at night. Well I'm here to tell you that whatever is causing those bumps is very real. In my case, the source doesn't hide in my closet but rather under my bed. And he's determined to drag me right there with him. Can you be friends with the monster under your bed? ** "Ask me Aria," he rasped. His voice dripped with temptation that would make the devil jealous. His lips were brushing against mine as we leaned into each other. I felt like I was drowning in his presence. The hand that was on my breast had moved to my waist, keeping me close even as I tipped towards him. His hand was still on my sex, leisurely teasing the area. "Please," I whispered. Something mixed between a growl and a purr escaped him. It vibrated deeply from his chest. I thought he would kiss me but he didn't. His lips hovered over mine before they softly traced my cheek. I gasped when his hands moved to under my arms, moving me until I straddled his thigh.

A warrior's place is not in hiding yet that is exactly where Mira finds herself; hoping that the creatures had forgotten her name, forgotten what she had done. Until her previous Commander appears, bringing the very news she never thought she would hear- that the only creature with the knowledge to break the curse is finally in their possession and willing to work with her. For years, this curse has prevented all of the creatures from accessing their powers. Without their power, they stand no chance of surviving against their greatest enemy, the fae, whose attacks seem to be growing more frequent and devastating. With Deimos, the only creature unaffected by the curse, in her possession, Mira finds herself negotiating the terms of a deal that are not nearly as harsh as they should be and spending her every waking moment catering to the most feared monster. Mira knows better than to believe it was all a mere coincidence; to not assume the fae have something far bigger planned. Deimos too. Despite it all, the biggest challenge she faces is how to conceal her own ulterior motives and lies from her new team. In this land there are two categories of people, normal humans like the readers and writers of this story and then those who can see the magic and evil. There are animals but there are also magical creatures, some good, some bad and some that are just there. You always stood out from the rest. You had the eyes that held the power to see these creatures. Bright yellowish gold eyes and people were scared of you. They were scared because you were above all of them. Your parents owned this old fashioned city. It was a village the size of a city and it had some modern technology mixed with no technology. You had no friends for for so long and people always bullied you probably because they were scared of you. They didn't know of the magical side of the land. They didn't know that some people can see it. They would only see the creatures if they made themselves seeable. Everything was normal one day, people treating you like trash and you running crying to your mom. But your parents had gotten you something that they know nothing about or take care of but they put the responsibility in your 10 year old hands.
