Iris LeCala is living in the total definition of Hell. For Iris, home isn't home, blood isn't family, love is just a word, and people who care are rare. Day after day she lays at home and debates on if the world is really in need of her.

Until Nolan George invites himself into her life. Once Iris transfers to his school and ends up being in his class, Nolan is immediately eager to find out everything about her. He finds complete interest in Iris and all of her glory. With the Goodwill clothes, messy hair, bags under her eyes, and the unknown bruises that can be found at any spot on her body, Nolan forces himself to befriend her; all with a touch of sincerity and a hint of hopeful redemption.

When the opportunity of meeting Iris arises, Nolan frantically collects all of his scattered hope and braces for the best.

And so their journey begins.
