Aetheria, the forgotten world, home of humans and souls alike. The world acclaimed to be nearest to the skies yet far from being called 'heaven'. Analogous to Earth it faced the insurmountable treachery of the mortals but with more terrifying outcomes almost reaching a hopeless end. Hence, the bloody history of wars among the Kingdoms in Aetheria. Come dark ages, humanity was at the brink of becoming beasts. The old tales tell of a demon that started it all. It haunts the very existence of every living being. Terror reigned over the weak. The strong ones become formidable foes.
However, all evil have its coequal. There were those who remained good and proved that it wasn't yet too late for the Aetherian beings to lose the battle. Under odd circumstances, the adventure begins. This is a story of how a simple farmer, along diversified companions, saves the world and stops it from becoming a real nightmare...

Long ago, there was a world known as Ryugaeia. It was a peaceful world where dragons and humans lived in harmony. Dragons were the keepers of the elements and humans were keepers of the world. Time passed and the Dragons and humans formed an alliance. The Dragons could lend their powers to the humans and the chosen human of each dragon became one with the dragon, inheriting great strength and elemental powers. However there was one dragon Armageddon, a dark dragon who hated humans, jealous of their duty as rulers of Ryugaeia. Armageddon revolted and awakened an army of Dark Dragons, then joining forces with an equally evil human warlord, he terrorized Ryugaeia. When evil was at its peak, a new hope was created. It was the Dragonhaärt. All the good dragons combined their spirits and a Dragonheart was born. This heart could control all dragon powers put together and Armageddon was defeated and sealed. This was however at a terrible price. Dragons suffered extinction and the Dragonheart was lost forever. Prophets and seers prophesied the return of the Dragonheart and the final defeat of Armageddon. Aetheria is a region with a vast number of breathtaking sights, calm towns and villages, and towering fortresses and castles. It's a must visit for anyone travelling across the continent of Terren. But Aetheria isn't particularly perfect. As some of the residents throughout the region aren't very ...well... ...human. And are as friendly as they are human. These types of individuals can vary from bloodsucking vampires and deceiving witches, to evil kingdoms and even corrupt demon overlords. All of these vile and dangerous forces are in a fight for control over the region against the remaining humans. And these humans are known as "The Vanguards". The Vanguards are an elite team of fighters, who's main objective is to keep fighting in order to reclaim their homes. Each member has their own backstories and motives, along with strengths and weaknesses. But in the end, they all share the same goal. She was not born an angel. She was made into one. The church called it salvation, though she and the others knew better. She never saw that god, never even knew its name. But she felt it in her veins every day-burning, reshaping, devouring what was once human inside her. From the ritual came her wings: vast and terrible, twelve feet of shadowed feathers stretching behind her, with smaller, flame-lined wings sprouting at her feet. With them, she flew faster than arrows and struck harder than any sword. Fire itself bent to her will, rising and falling with her breath, a weapon she alone commanded. For years she fought in the war of men. Cities burned, armies fell, and still the blood in her veins demanded more. But no power, not even hers, could shield her from loss. Three of her companions-those who had shared the same cursed experiment-were gone, their bodies left behind on the battlefield. She buried them in ash and flame, and with that, she could fight no longer. She turned her back on the church, on the endless slaughter, and wandered into lands untouched by war. Note: No relation between characters here and real life people. A war that spanned years, fighting the undead. For one unwilling group, it all started for them as a simple day at school. Finding each other by pure incidence, they band together and survivor the world they were thrusted upon. It started as living day-to-day, scavenging what they could and helping each other. But they were not alone in this world. As time went on, the dead became the least of their worries. It was the living that tormented them, forced them to shed their humanity and become something they no longer recognized. To avoid being killed they must kill first.
