I stumble awake, the sound of the wind blowing the sand off my face. My eyes are blurry from a good nights sleep. But I'm not in my bed anymore. I realize soon after, looking around in confusion and worry, thinking, " I don't sleep walk, especially to tropical islands." I continue to scan my surroundings, making sure I was safe. That's when I noticed the clouds. They seemed lower than any clouds I've seen. I was walking towards them when the sand started to slope. I screamed and scrambled for something to grab onto, but it was only sand starting to slide out from under me. I saw a quick glance of what was under me. A blue sky filled with clouds. No land. No water. I closed my eyes and hoped I would make it to whatever was below in one piece. But once the sand was finally gone from my toes, the free falling feeling didn't occur. Instead, as I peeled my hands off my face, I looked, and I was still in the sky, in tact, but I didn't know how. Nothing was below me, no land or water. Then I heard a soft flapping of wings from behind me. I quickly turned around to see it. Two wings, elegant and speckled with jewels sprouting from my back. I was flying. Based on a dream I had between May 29th and May 30th, 2016.
