The world of Eraesel can be big and complicated, and there will be many references in the upcoming series to the people and events that have shaped the kingdom over the past thousand years. Therefore, I intend to use this guide as a reference point for those of you who may be confused by past events that are being mentioned during the course of 'The Sword of the Four'. This book, 'The Great Histories and Houses of Eraesel' is a modern account of Eraesel's past, written by the Elders of Torinth who have spent their lives studying the subject. Many in Eraesel during the time in which this story is set refer to this book as canon historiography, and so it is pivotal to understand the key events as seen through official accounts. Of course, I emphasise official here - just because the scholars at the Kyrk of Torinth say one thing doesn't mean it's contested by the scholars of different places and times, or that they're necessarily correct.
