The sunny, rich town of San Diego holds a secret.
Kaitlin Craner has the perfect life working as a private investigator in the city and enjoying life with her friends.
However, when she finds a tattered letter in her cellar, she begins to realize that things are not quite as they seem in the Craner family.
A wedding leaves Kaitlin with some startling questions about her past, and she sets off to picturesque San Diego to find some answers.
At first the people of San Diego are sweet and optimistic. She is intrigued by the curiously daring doctor, Matt Foster. However, after he introduces her to hard heroin, Kaitlin slowly finds herself drawn into a web of drugs, rape and perhaps, even murder.
