When Earth had been invaded in an instant, the powers that be selected very few individuals who would one day defend the Earth in the far future and become the Hope of Humanity. Their plan, however, hadn't taken into account a different kind of threat, where the rest of humanity had to fight to survive on their own without these so-called "Hope of Humanity." Instead, the last of humanity created tough fighting machines known as Nikkes, who were the ones who truly became humanity's hope. Since the initial invasion, one of those Hopes has been awakened and brought into the Ark; a surviving underground civilization, where the remaining humans wait for the day they'd reclaim the surface.

My memory has failed me. My past haunts me. My decisions bite back at me with ferociousness not even a tiger would be able to achieve. I don't know how much I've lost just doing it... But I know for a fact, that if I just sat there and didn't do anything, I would've lost far more. No matter how dark the tunnel I thread through gets, I know that there are people out there that I can rely on to light up the way for me. Those people are to be protected at all cost. The ones in the center of my heart, all with caring and nurturing souls. I won't let any of them falter, for I know that they were the crutches that helped me walk when I couldn't. A Guardian awakens as two semi futuristic armoured women calling themselves Nikkes raise him to his feet. His Light temporarily gone and in a new body in a different timeline. He should be dead. Confused and disoriented, he struggles to make sense of everything from past and present. He remembers something before his blacking out. Can he make it on his own in the new world or will he receive help? Will he rise from the Deep or drown in it? (Nikke x Destiny 2 story. I wanted to make one and got inspired by another creator. I wanna try my hand at this, though it won't follow the Canon story as he won't be the MC in game)
