Five centuries after the human race was imprisoned on its thirteen colony worlds, isolating them from each other and keeping man from travelling the stars, two men discover the massive form of a mostly intact battleship derelict, they set out to return it to working order.
They will need a crew. They will need to repair the ship. They will need to decide where to go. They will need to learn to use the weapons on the ship to defend themselves if the aliens show up again to keep man from travelling the stars.

The Abyss of Time
Twenty years after the end of the Cyborg War, the last cyborgs try to hijack a starship on its way to terraform an alien world. They want the new colony to be a cyborg colony in which they will rebuild their strength and practice their way of life. During the fighting, though, the starship is damaged, so that instead of travelling light years across space it ends up a billion years in the future, alongside a planet Earth that is near the end of its life. The cyborgs, momentarily defeated, leave the ship in a captured landing craft and go down to the planet, but before they go, they sabotage the ship so that it is no longer able to support life. The crew have no choice but to follow them down to the planet, where they have to fight not just the cyborgs but also forms of life a billion years more evolved than humans. Creatures that have grown tough and hardy in an attempt to cope with the increasingly harsh conditions that prevail there. As if things weren't bad enough, there is conflict among the ship's crew as they fight to decide which of them will be in charge, and how they will meet the challenges facing them, and even if they survive all this they will still have to deal with the discovery of the ultimate fate that awaits all intelligent life in the universe...Complete
The Ship of the Unforgotten
The crew of the colony starship UTS Rose Dawn awaken after centuries in cryo-sleep to discover that most of their number died during the voyage. To make matters worse, one of the survivors isn't taking their current predicament well; not well at all. The remnants of the crew must work together with an untrustworthy computer to determine what's gone wrong and why if they're to have any hope of some sort of life out among the stars...Complete
RESCUE MODE
The first human mission to Mars meets with near-disaster when a meteoroid strikes the spacecraft, almost destroying it. The ship is too far from Earth to simply turn around and return home. The eight-person crew must ride their crippled ship to Mars while they desperately struggle to survive. On Earth, powerful political forces that oppose human spaceflight try to use the accident as proof that sending humans into space is too dangerous to continue. The whole human space flight program hangs in the balance. And if the astronauts can't nurse their ship to Mars and back, the voyagers will become either the first Martian colonists-or the first humans to perish on another planet.

He keeps them locked away in Sanctuary, where they're plagued by these airborne diseases that he has no control over, and these cyborgs make a community of them, the more he makes of them. The Hunters are among the creations, have had enough spending time in containment, in solitude, and in nearly painful struggles of survival. It's time for their escape. Their freedom.
